My digital art prints
Creating artworks for a specific event that match a particular theme is a challenge which is not without recalling me the exercises given to art students. I do not often lend myself to this experience, but I decided to do so again this year for the annual digital print art exhibition (I was of the 8th and 9th edition).
Digital prints that I will present are the result of a conceptual approach far from the intuitive way I usually favor in my work. They are mainly based on a concept and a mind process. Even if it’s not the creative approach I prefer, I think it’s good for me to broaden my horizons and explore, from time to time, other avenues.
Regarding Dadaism … My digital artworks are mainly made from a collage of photos representing adhesive tape residue on walls. A reference to the kind of art appreciated by Dada artists and also the integration of everyday items into artworks. The colors are intentionally washed out, like old newspaper clippings. The words create absurd sentences, again a common element to Dadaism.
Finally, I do not know if I can make it to the opening event, but if you intend to go there, please let me know!
Thanks for your visit and see you soon,
