Homemade Gouache on Watercolor PaperFrom The Creative & Experimental Art Journal
Pages from my creative and experimental art journal showing homemade gouache on watercolor paper.
- Homemade watercolor
- Watercolor paper
Experimenting with a second homemade gouache recipe made with :
- 10 Drops of Aqua-dispersion (liquid pigment from Kama Pigments),
- 12 Drops of Arabic gum (from Kama Pigments),
- 1 Drop of glycerin (drugstore),
- 12 Drops of water and
- About 1 tsp of marble powder (coarse calcium carbonate from Kama Pigments).
This time the gouache was a lot smoother and feel more like commercial brand.
The Right Page
On the right page of my art journal, I increase the amount of water into the homemade gouache to make it looks almost like watercolor.

This gallery shows intuitive abstract paintings created digitally. For those I swap my paint, brushes and canvas for there digital counterpart : a stylus, a digital drawing tablet and a computer.
