February 2014

Experimenting with a second homemade gouache recipe made with :

  • 10 Drops of Aqua-dispersion (liquid pigment from Kama Pigments),
  • 12 Drops of Arabic gum (from Kama Pigments),
  • 1 Drop of glycerin (drugstore),
  • 12 Drops of water and
  • About 1 tsp of marble powder (coarse calcium carbonate from Kama Pigments).

This time the gouache was a lot smoother and feel more like commercial brand.

The Right Page

On the right page of my art journal, I increase the amount of water into the homemade gouache to make it looks almost like watercolor.
